As GeZs prepare for memorial protest of June 2024 which left more 60 youths dead, President Ruto has warned of serious consequences during 95th St. Johns Parade and inspections in Statehouse yesterday. The head of the nation insisted that youths have to know their freedom as well as limitations associated with it.
‘’You have the freedom to dream...but freedom and responsibility are inseparable, freedom without
responsibility is reckless.’’ He added.
In support of the president’s warning, Cabinet Secretary for interior Kipchumba Murkomen has affirmed his commitment in ensuring peaceful protests warning of deadly force against goons who might cause vandalism during the highly anticipated youth protests on Thursday 25th. However, has asked youths to abscond the planned Youths memorial protests.

A few days ago President Ruto apologized to the victims of June 2024 youth protests assuring that the government will compensate parents and those who were affected by the youth protest.
President Ruto was handed 1-acre land, Sh. 300M to build St. Johns headquarters and the government to add 200M for the same Ruto also announced they will be receiving Sh. 100M annual budget and donated 15 ambulances to the organization.
